A Walk to Reset My Mind

It’s 1st May today, Labour Day, or as we call it back home, Hari Buruh. A holiday for workers, and well, I am also a buruh myself. Yesterday was the last day of April, and I decided to go outside before the long weekend started.

These days I feel a bit overwhelmed with this AI thing. Don’t get me wrong, the AI makes my work much faster. Tasks that took hours before, now I can finish in minutes. But on the other hand, it also makes me tired in a different way. Because the work is faster, I feel like I should do more and more topics at the same time. I want to feel extra productive, push more tasks, finish more things. My brain is always running.

So yesterday, because the weather was sunny and warm, I decided to go outside. I went for a little walk in nature at Obora Hvězda. It is one of my favorite places near the city, with old trees, quiet paths, and that nice green smell after spring rain.

But getting there was not easy. The traffic was crazy. It took me more than one hour to arrive, when normally it takes less than 30 minutes. I think many people left early because of the long holiday weekend. Everyone wants to escape the city, I guess.

When I finally arrived and started walking, all the stress from the car was gone. The sun was on my face, birds were singing, and for some time I didn’t think about copilot --yolo or claude --dangerously-skip-permissions.

After the walk, my energy was back. Sometimes we forget that the best way to deal with too much technology is something very simple, just go outside and walk.

Today I will rest, maybe sleep a bit longer, and enjoy the holiday. The AI can wait.
